When In Romans Message Series

The book of Romans emphasizes that even though there are many disagreements, differences, and divergences in the body of Christ, the church is called to be unified in the person and work of Jesus Christ—our justification, sanctification, and glorification. He alone is our salvation and redemption. In Romans, Paul pleads with us to seek and find unity, harmony, and peace in Christ in the midst of great differences and radical diversity. Studying Romans forwards, beginning at Romans 1 and ending at the close of the letter in Romans 16 is both the best way to read Romans and it’s biggest problem. But fresh light is shown on Romans 1-11 if we first take a deep look at Romans 12-16. So in this message series we are going to read Romans BACKWARDS. As we first look at how to live the theology of peace in the empire that Paul lays out in Romans 12-16, we will discover a new appreciation for the theology that Paul presents in Romans 1-11. Join us as we look at Romans with a fresh eye and discover how to live, When In Romans! Week 1: The Lay Of The Land (Intro To Romans and Romans 16) Week 2: The Strong And The Weak (Romans 13-15) Week 3: Replacing Law With Faith (Romans 10-12) Week 4: Freedom In Christ (Romans 7-9) Week 5: Faith Alone (Romans 4-6) Week 6: The Covenant Opens (Romans 1-3)
